„Insipidum est ex rivulis quaerere quod possis ex fonte percipere“
Entdeckung und Verwendung von Texten im Mittelalter und in der Renaissance.
Scoperta e uso dei testi nel Medioevo e nel Rinascimento.
Wuppertal (Germany), 12-14 Marzo 2025.

In March, an interesting philological conference organized on behalf of the University of Wuppertal by professors Giacomo Caspar Guida and Andrea Alessandri will be held in Wuppertal, Germany, regarding the rediscovery of classical sources in the Middle Ages and the Renaissance.
Among others, Concetta Bianca, Iolanda Ventura, Michele Bandini, David Horace Speranzi, Stefano Trovato, Claudio Griggio, Pietro Filippini will participate, along with German scholars.
Among its other attributes, the theme delves into the concept of “aurispianism,” a subject explored by Salvo Micciché (@salvomic) in the volume of studies on Giovanni Aurispa, a Netino-ferrarese humanist.
The publication, edited by Carocci Editore, one of the key figures in the rediscovery of classical texts during the Humanist period that followed the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, features an introduction by Michele R. Cataudella, a post by Giuseppe Mariotta, and notes by Augusto Guida.
Studies about this aspect were cited by Concetta Bianca and David Horace Speranzi, among others.
